Hi friends!

I'm Sara. Brooklyn based actress/comedy writer with a big heart and huge imagination.

Lover of mountains, cycling, impromptu dance breaks, and a perfectly "al-dente" ravioli. You can blame my Grandma Fran for that.

I grew up in the white picket fenced, suburban town of River Edge, NJ. The performer bug bit me hard and fast, as evidenced by my parents, when at age 5 when I began directing the neighborhood kids and my baby sister in elaborate backyard productions. I invited the entire neighborhood to attend with Kid Pix invitations posted on every tree, and was sure this is how I wanted to spend the rest of my life.

My goal is tell stories that illuminate humanity in all its different facets: the good, the bad, the ugly, the hilarious. Stories connect us all and through experiencing them, we deepen our understanding of ourselves in the world. I am a firm believer that laughter is the best medecine and that every good story should be sprinkled with some. If we can't laugh at ourselves, then we are taking ourselves too seriously!

Small or big family?
I have a small family but we're pretty tight knit. The women in my life are my superheros.

If you could have dinner with anyone?
Lucille Ball, Amy Poehler, Jim Carrey, William Shakespeare

Secret dream?
To be a California mommy, grow vegetables and be up in the mountains everyday.

Hogrefe? What nationality are you, woman?
Mostly German, also Danish and Italian.
The original derivation of Hogrefe was Hogrefen, which means high judge. Funny, cause my dad is a lawyer!
